1)Fundamentals of Electronics– Breaking the Myth!

Trainee understands practical working of Electronics including Passive and Active Components which make up both discrete circuits and State of the Art Integrated Chips.

Learn and implement circuits involving capacitors, inductors, transformers, transistors, MOSFETs, SCR, Hall effect devices, opto-couplers/isolators.

2)Analog Circuit Design

Electronic Products are in Mixed Signal Domain where Digital Circuitry is involved in computation and decision making using complex algorithms while the Analog Circuit is involved in interfacing input sensors and generating physical world outputs (Audio, Video, Motion).

Learn the design of high performance filters, amplifiers, current sources and mirrors, voltage sources, Op-Amps based circuits.

3) Power Delivery

In current world of IoT and Portable products, Efficient Energy Delivery and Management is of paramount importance with high efficiency and long life being the focus.

Learn the leading power delivery mechanisms which are based on switching operation including Buck, Boost and Buck-Boost Convertors in multiple configurations, Li-Ion battery Management.

4)Digital Circuit Design

Embedded Systems comprise of not only the Software but also complex Hardware necessary to support the microcontroller based platforms.

Learn hands-on about IC’s like MCUs, Latches, Memory Chips, ADC’s, DAC’s, Digital Amplifiers, Digital based Analog Comparators among others

5) Digital Communication

Electronic Products contain multiple CPU’s, co-processors and Digital IC’s working in Distributed Processing mode. High Speed, Error Free communication is of paramount importance.

Learn and implement protocols like I2C, SPI, UART/USART.

6) Software Development

It revolves around a robust algorithm which encompasses the entire system requirements and handles them in a time-bound manner. The understanding of the microcontroller architecture is the beginning step. Learn to develop Algorithm and Software in both Assembly and C-Language for stand-alone and connected Electronic devices that are robust, utilize resources optimally and can recover from failure.

The microcontroller hardware includes Timers, Counters, I/O Ports, Multi-Level interrupts, PWM drivers, Direct Memory Access, External Bus Interface, Selection of System clocks, Memory.

8) PCB design:

Learn the fundamentals of multi-layer PCB designing using tools like CADSTAR.

7) Reliability and Redundancy

Embedded Portable electronic products are exposed to harsh real world environment like Interference, Power Fluctuations, Vibrations, Shock which may cause failure/reduced performance. Learn how to build in reliability at a System Level and multiple redundancies.
